Such an artifice this is, you Fool, He wears a flash suit but there's shit on his hands, Look at me now, just don't look at me, I'm bored myself but with you, I am boring, The Fool in anonymity, Fulfill my anonymity. 2nd Movement: Tie and bound, Keep me like the animal I am, Tied and bound, This animal I am, And I won't mind if you'll stay with me. 3rd Movement: Old Boy is at the whorehouse again, Sucks on a pipe, in a haze of plague dust, He sinks into the night, Old Boy - colour his life monochorome, So far from us now, 'neath his black hood of guilt, He slips into the night, Goodnight Old Boy, Close your eyes and think of England. 4th Movement: Was it just a phase? What a risk to show your face around here, What are your symptoms, child? The child is the symptom of the fountainhead, Are you afraid of what calls from the garden at night? Better it be a Fool than some kind of sage, To be human is to play The Fool.

I've just finished mastering 'The Fool in Four Movements' - what a relief! I want to share a few more details with you.

At the beginning of this process, I did not set out with any goal in mind. In fact, I didn't intend to 'write' anything at all. Rather, I was possessed by the spirit of this piece. It has been with me every waking moment of the past month, and has produced a 22 minute musical excursion into realms I've never been before.

I can best describe it as music that could have written in a dream. Have you ever had those dreams where you compose something you fall so in love with, only to awaken and forget it almost instantly?

It is not for me to say whether it is my best work, or any good at all, for that matter! But I can say that, for me, this approaches something far beyond my own ego and towards a state of pure wonder and submission.

I'm really looking forward to sharing it with you, and I hope you'll find something in the music for you.
